LOMBOK

We left for Mataram on Saturday, 29 January morning and arrived Lombok on midday. It had been raining for the whole week already in Jakarta and at first, we had a little doubt if it was the right time to have vacation in Lombok considering there had been a huge flash flood in East Nusa Tenggara and raining in every part of Indonesia. Fortunately, the weather and the sunshine were great when we got there.

We stayed at Holiday Resort Lombok (aka. Holiday-Inn) http://www.lombok-network.com/holiday_inn/index.htm in Senggigi Beach area where tourism activities and most hotels were located there. The hotel was excellent in terms of the accommodation, facilities and view as well as the service. It was the right choice.

The next day, we rented a motorbike to ride along the hill by the seaside and enjoyed the magnificent ocean view…it was truly beautiful. On the way back, we took another different way crossing the monkey forrest and the padi field. What we can say is every way you go around Lombok, you'll experience and be amazed by its nature beauty.

Hoping the next day would be sunny, We decided to rent a motor boat to go to the 3 gilis (in Lombok’s language means “island”); Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air which were told not to be missed if you visited Lombok, and had snorkling.

For those who doesn't love those hurly-burly environments like in Bali, Lombok is the fine place to visit.
